Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi IceRays will return to the ice when they host the Oklahoma Warriors Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11 at American Bank Center.
For the 16th season, the IceRays are pleased to host their annual Stars & Stripes Night on Friday, November 10 to honor military veterans and first responders.
The event began during the 2008-09 season.
Stars & Stripes Night is presented by Atomic Omelette and IBEW Local 278.
“The IceRays organization is proud to host our 16th annual Stars and Stripes game, where we will pay tribute to our military members, both active and retired throughout the night.,” IceRays Chief Administrative Officer Amanda Marines said. “We are honored to host such a special night to thank our military members and family for their service.”
The players will be wearing camouflage jerseys, and we will be holding a live jersey auction following the game on Friday.
We will be having an introduction ceremony with the presentation of first responder vehicles on the ice along with the presentation of the colors.
“We welcome the community to come out and help us celebrate these individuals and their unwavering commitment and gratitude for their service,” Marines said.
The IceRays have been delivering tickets vouchers to first responders, law enforcement officials and military members around the area. Active military, veterans and first responders can show their corresponding ID at the American Back Center box office for free entry to the game.
