PREVIEW: Corpus Christi typically struggles in the opening period (30 goals in 47 games played), but they have had their best starts in games against Amarillo (7 first period tallies in 6 games).

However, the second period has been the team’s downfall as Amarillo has outscored the IceRays 8-2 in the six games played.

The IceRays will need to have a sense of urgency in this weekend’s series as just 11 games remain in the regular season.  The team trails Wichita Falls by nine points with every point from here on even more valuable.
