Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi IceRays come back to win big at the American Bank Center on Friday, September 30th against the New Mexico Ice Wolves resulting in a score of 5-4 in an overtime shootout.

Dylan Contraras netted the game winner for the Corpus Christi IceRays in a shootout Friday night as they pulled out a come from behind victory over the visiting New Mexico Ice Wolves.
AFTER, Falling behind 3-0 to the visiting New Mexico Ice Wolves, the Corpus Christi IceRays roared back with 3 straight goals to tie the game at 3-3, Ice Wolves forwards Blayde Pogreba, William Howard, and Jack Dalton gave NM the lead. However, Cam Crolley scored the first of two goals to cut the deficit to 3-1 in the second period. In the 3rd period, Dominic Foglia and Cam Crolley scored the next two goals to even the score at 3-3.
Sully Scholle put the IceWolves ahead 4-3 just 26 seconds later only to see Tomas Trunda tie the game at 4-4 just 14 seconds later …
That’s the way regulation ended as the two teams went scoreless in the overtime.
Thomas Kiesewetter stopped 3 of 4 shooters in the shootout to preserve the victory as Michael Casey and Contreras netted the goals in the shootout for the Corpus Christi IceRays.
Kiesewetter stopped 46 of 50 shots for Corpus Christi IceRays while Carsen Stokes corralled 28 of 32 shots for New Mexico.
New Mexico recorded 4 penalties for 8 minutes while CC gave up a power play goal on the only penalty served by Cam Crolley. Crolley had 2 goals and an assist for the IceRays.
