CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The playoff push is at full tilt in the South Division with the #3 Corpus Christi IceRays (28-14-3) firmly in position to make the postseason for the first time since 2019. The IceRays have not shied away from playing for the first round bye rewarded to the top two teams in the division and that goal is still within reach with 14 games remaining. This week Corpus Christi is back in Oklahoma City to take on the #9 Oklahoma Warriors to wrap up a four game road trip.

The Warriors will host a pair of games at the Blazers Ice Centre on Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22 with puck drop scheduled at 7:00 CT on both nights. TOP PROSPECTS
Earlier this week a trio of IceRays and Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier made their way to Plymouth, Michigan for the 2025 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. Forwards Carter Krenke, Cody Kempf, and Stepan Kuznetsov represented the IceRays for Team South and competed in two games against other divisions in the the NAHL. Both games were very competitive and so close that each went into a shootout where the South Division lost one and won their finale to cap off the tournament. Goals were tough to come by in both games but Krenke picked up a beautiful goal on a deflection in game one for the South’s first goal of the week.
BEST CAPTAIN EVER
On Friday night in Oklahoma City IceRays Forward Pierson Sobush will play in his 100th career game with Corpus Christi. Sobush currently leads the team with 44 points this season and has a total of 40 goals and 45 assists in two seasons in the Coastal Bend. Sobush has been an instrumental part of the IceRays success this season and will become the 21st player in Franchise history to hit the century mark in games played.
NEW FACES IN OKC
Since the last time the Warriors and IceRays met Oklahoma lost their top three scorers at the trade deadline including Sebastian Speck, Travis Bryson and Louie Kamienski. They combined for six points in the Warriors 7-6 shootout win back on January 5 at the American Bank Center and produced a ton of offense in the previous six games versus Corpus Christi. This weekend will be the final two games of an eight game season series that has seen the IceRays win four of the previous six meetings.
